What made you decide you join CrossFit Utica?
I started at CFU less than a month after the first Clash for the Cure event in May 2016. Two friends convinced me to compete in the event and not just come to watch and help. So I did. I fell in love with it immediately and joined by the end of the month. It was the change to my routine that I needed.
What results have you achieved since starting?
I have not experienced what some would call "weight loss". I contribute this to the additional muscle I have added and also my love of beer and tacos. But overall, I feel so much better. The coaches have all been such an asset to improving my mobility, my cardio, and my overall health. I eat better, sleep better, and take better care of myself in general.
What do you like best about CrossFit Utica?
The atmosphere and people. I think anyone will tell you that it is one of the most supportive environments you can be a part of. I have met some truly amazing people thanks to CFU.
What would you say to someone on the fence about joining?
Same thing I always tell them, just try it a couple of times. You will enjoy it. It's different from the normal gym routine and gets you to push yourself in ways you never thought you could. The results will amaze you.
